Are you looking to expand your skills or reinvent yourself? LinkedIn’s online courses have been a popular option for many professionals who want to build new skills and stay competitive in the workforce. 

The professional networking platform recently released its third edition of the “Most Popular Courses” guide and are offering 20 of its most popular courses for free until September 30.

In a post, LinkedIn Learning Head of Global Content Strategy Dan Brodnitz said there are over three million professionals across the globe who have watched these courses to help them thrive in today’s changing economy.

Professionals are sharpening their skills, gaining better understanding of Excel and project management, and learning programming language like Python. This is especially relevant with job postings looking for Python-skilled professionals up 29% year-over-year.  

Here are just some of LinkedIn’s online courses that you can do, completely free, for a limited time:  

Time Management: Working from Home

Bestselling author and productivity expert Dave Crenshaw shares some his best practices for anyone working full-time — or occasionally — from home. 

You’ll learn how to set up a dedicated workspace for maximum productivity, collaborate with remote coworkers, craft your daily schedule and how to use virtual meetings productively. It also offers advice for working parents and caregivers who have to balance professional and personal responsibilities in the home.

Strategic Thinking 

Strategic thinking becomes increasingly important as you climb the corporate ladder, and Dorie Clark, an author, a strategy consultant, executive coach and keynote speaker, notes that no one formally teaches strategic thinking, but it’s a critical skill to have.

Learning Python

This course by Joe Marini, a manager, Strategic Partner Developer Relations at Google, is not a general introduction to the fundamentals of programming; students should already be familiar with the basic principles of programming when starting this LinkedIn online course. 

This course aims to get students started with Python, including an overview of the installation process, basic Python syntax, and an example of how to construct and run a simple Python programme.
