Are you a member of the senior management team or are a strategic decision-maker at a small or medium-sized business?
If you’re looking to take your leadership skills and business to the next level, you can join other business leaders at Nottingham University Business School on the new, government-subsidised, Help to Grow: Management programme.
Accredited by the Small Business Charter, Nottingham University Business School is offering this 12-week practical programme, which covers all aspects of management, including finance and strategies for growth and innovation, for just £750.
The course will also provide businesses one-to-one mentorship, and participants will finish the course with a tailored business growth plan, as well as access to an extensive alumni programme and network.
A programme that shapes agile business leaders
The Help to Grow scheme was announced by the UK government during the tabling of the 2021 budget. The programme is aimed at helping businesses across the UK learn new skills, reach new customers and boost profits.
Nottingham University Business School is one of the institutions that will be delivering Help to Grow in the East Midlands region.
There are two strands to the Help to Grow programme: management and digital. The management strand offers SMEs an Executive Development programme, provided by leading business schools. The digital strand will offer free online advice on how technology can boost performance and also discounts on software.
If you are a business leader interested in enhancing your ability to lead the growth of your business and produce a growth plan to achieve your businesses’ potential, you can register for the management strand programme.
SMEs can access the three-month programme that focuses on facilitating business growth from June 2021. The programme combines a practical curriculum, one-to-one support from a business mentor, peer-learning sessions and membership of an alumni network of like-minded businesses and university specialists. It will be designed to fit alongside full-time work. Modules will include financial management, innovation and digital adoption.
As the programme is 90% subsidised by the government, participants will only have to pay £750. To be eligible for the programme, businesses will have been operating in the UK for over a year and have between five to 249 employees.
Programme participants should be a key decision-maker or member of the senior management team of the business, and the business must not have participated in the Small Business Leadership Programme, a government-funded training programme for senior leaders in SMEs.
