The Global Leadership MBA (GLEMBA) program at The University of Texas at Dallas Naveen Jindal School of Management has many accolades to its credit. It was awarded Best Global Online Executive MBA Program in Texas by CEO Magazine, ranked fifth among US programs and 16th in the world by QS Online MBA Rankings 2021, and named No. 36 overall among Best Online MBA Programs in 2021 by Fortune, cementing its excellence in business education.

Illustrious awards aside, many program graduates have benefitted from salary increases and improved job prospects after attaining the critically acclaimed Global Leadership MBA (GLEMBA), according to a recent return on investment-focused alumni survey. Nearly 51% of graduates received promotions upon completing the program, while just under 11% started or advanced a business. Additionally, almost 22% have successfully pivoted their careers into a new industry or trajectory.

This is the kind of success GLEMBA ensures. The 21-month program was designed for thriving professionals looking to reach new heights in their careers while developing a broader perspective on international business. Students of all backgrounds can enjoy GLEMBA’s customizable nature. The program is delivered 100% online, making it an ideal pick for on-the-go lifelong learners, who can weave in learning around their existing commitments. And the best part? No GMAT or GRE results are necessary.

“The GLEMBA program’s focus on global leadership and a flexible learning modality made it the obvious choice for me,” says student Jeremy Klos-Mayhall, who started his career at Goldman Sachs as a consumer litigation specialist. He was promoted to associate, consumer collections during the program     . “Given my current personal and professional life, I needed a flexible, yet academically challenging learning program –– GLEMBA fits this flexibility and need.”

The Jindal School has decades of experience in distance learning. In fact, the GLEMBA program has been a leader in the field since 1995. The school draws on multiple technologies to support students’ learning and offers a complete scholastic experience. UT Dallas’ own learning management system is used to host discussion boards, web conferences, recorded lectures and online group discussions –– making the experience all the more engaging.

Regina Jordan deeply appreciated the networking opportunities provided to her during her GLEMBA experience. “I will forever value the newfound mentors and friends who I would not have met without the program. They have enriched my life in so many ways,” she says.

The graduate came from a non-finance and non-accounting background. The experience, however, broadened her horizons and gave her the “confidence boost” she needed to believe that she could excel in anything. Today, she is a talent business process specialist with American Airlines.

The GLEMBA program is also versatile, offering concentrations in business analytics, finance, organizational consulting, project management, strategic human resources, and leadership, or a combination of electives that match varying professional goals.

“The application of learnings from operations management and strategic management courses helped make an immediate impact in my job, merging the lines between school and work while providing an instant return on investment for my employer,” says graduate Ashwin Prakash, chief data scientist at Post Acute Analytics.

Regardless of the career path graduates choose, Jindal School’s GLEMBA program serves as a runway for career success. A UT Dallas survey notes that 29% of GLEMBA graduates developed the knowledge and skills needed to broaden their industry expertise. Among alumni, 17% experienced a smooth transition into previously untapped practices and professions. Another 17% of respondents said they developed the confidence, communication skills and acumen to lead or manage others.

Even more impressive? A whopping 90% of respondents said the GLEMBA program had increased their professional opportunities. Over 95% who had started the program with the goal of a salary increase achieved their goal.

Graduate Holly Martin says she learned key skills that made it easier to prove her ability to lead at J.B. Hunt. “Because of this program, I was able to present within my organization to five different groups, which led to a promotion, an invitation to assist with three special projects as a new manager, and an appointment as a co-chair to lead professional development for an internal employee resource group,” she shares. Today, she is a customer experience manager at the American transportation and logistics company.

Robert Pritchett, who had already accumulated over a decade of professional experience prior to starting the GLEMBA program, was eager to hone his leadership skills. Today, the alum considers his GLEMBA journey to have been “transformational.” In 2010, Pritchett began his journey at Bridgestone Americas — a leader in tire and rubber technologies — as an area sales manager. He is now their director.

“Every course, from accounting to marketing management –– had a global perspective. It had an emphasis on being a lifelong leader and lifelong learner,” he says. “I’ve graduated as a professional who looks at business very differently. As leaders, we can drive significant impact through thoughtful decision making. We are also capable of doing great work that is much bigger than ourselves.”
